| I'm quite bad in writing something about me (at least something that makes sense), so i let other people speak: - Buckle Magazine Issue #2 - by G Pelzer always had a passion for photography. His inherent radicalism and anarchism led him eventually to the world of fetish where there was a general openness to sexuality without judgment. The fetish state of mind appealed to him and his camera. Martin professionally works as a technical director for a television production company. This keeps him on the edge of emerging communications and their associated technologies which in turn feeds his passion for photography (music videos, cultural images, etc.). Pelzer’s images clearly display the disciplines of composition, what works and what does not. He clearly points out that reproducing reality is not the objective of his photography; for him, the objective is to abstract reality both through the use of fiction and location, as well as the manipulation of color (“screaming colors”) and shadow and light. He is challenged by both the predictability and unpredictability of natural light and how it affects his compositions. Berlin provides an ideal urban backdrop also, to breathe life into his images. For him, preparation and planning have been the key elements to his most successful images. He intends to stay on that course and continue to grow his portfolio. Martin Pelzer photography shows great potential to go in as many creative turns and detours as he deems appropriate, each with the results his audience will anticipate and admire. |
